Community Guidelines

Join us for Tech Week 2025!

Tech Week’s mission is to elevate the Tech community through IRL events. Our platform is open by nature, and we invite anyone in the ecosystem to apply to participate. By participating in Tech Week as a Host or Attendee, you agree to uphold these Community Guidelines. We reserve the right to enforce these policies, including denying event approval or restricting access to certain events.

Event Host Responsibilities

Each host is fully responsible for all aspects of their event, including:

  • Venue selection and logistics
  • Speaker and content curation
  • Attendee experience and engagement
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

We expect all hosts to create a positive, engaging, and safe experience for attendees. Failure to meet these expectations may result in event removal or denial of future participation.

Event Approval Policy

While we welcome most events aligned with our community standards, certain types of events will not be approved:

Prohibited Content:

  • Drug-related events, including cannabis/cannatech discussions, promotions, or demonstrations
  • Events presenting technology primarily through a dystopian lens without balanced discussion
  • Events with pricing that appears exploitative or misaligned with the value provided

Tech Week maintains sole discretion over event approval to ensure a quality experience for the community.

Attendee Conduct

All attendees are expected to contribute to a positive and respectful atmosphere. By participating in any event associated with Tech Week, attendees agree to:

  • Treat all participants, speakers, and hosts with respect and professionalism.
  • Follow all event-specific guidelines set by individual hosts, including updating RSVP status if unable to attend
  • Abide by local laws and regulations.
  • Avoid disruptive, discriminatory, or harmful behavior.
  • Not “bank” multiple acceptances to events with no intention to attend.

Community Conduct & Platform Access

To ensure a safe and constructive environment, all participants—whether event hosts, speakers, or attendees—must adhere to these Community Guidelines. Violations may result in removal from the Tech Week platform and exclusion from current and future events.

Violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Hosting or promoting events that do not align with our approval policy
  • Disruptive, discriminatory, or harmful behavior at any event
  • Misrepresentation of an event’s purpose or intent
  • Failure to comply with local laws and regulations

By participating in Tech Week, you acknowledge and agree to these guidelines. Thank you!
